As you might have noticed, I’ve taken a bit of a hiatus from blogging. One or two, here and there, but nothing consistent. I’ve been focusing on my treatment for lyme disease and on healing as best I can. Devil Baby is on treatment for those devilish behaviors and The Big One is taking hard core antibiotics his mother eschewed for so long. We are saving our pharmacy bottles to make some sort of public statement with them. Feel free to email me for the new blog information!

Dear CarFreeFam,
Just discovered this blog via TC Streets for People – was thinking this was an organization actively working to get the city of minneapolis car-free. Anyhow, after reading about your health issues, I’m curious whether or not you have explored the possibility of removing certain foods from your diet? From the sounds of it, you’ve tried a lot, but not sure if you’ve done this. If not, I HIGHLY suggest removing at the very least GLUTEN and SOY from your diet. Even if you don’t want to do it permanently, I think if you’re in as much pain as it sounds like, it would be worth testing.
It took me until I was 34 yrs old to figure this out, and I’ve been dealing with multiple disorders that were getting to the point of crippling. At the last of it, I was passing out from exhaustion after each meal or snack I ate, had a sleep disorder that after 5 neurologists and 4 sleep studies was diagnosed at narcolepsy, had PCOS and Endometriosis and was infertile, and chronic sinus issues.
Within 30 days after doing an elimination diet, ALL of my symptoms were gone AND *surprise* I became fertile (i now have a beautiful 2 yr old). A few years prior to this, I also was weaned off of caffeine (which I was highly addicted to) and I stopped taking any and all western pharma-drugs. Things like aspirin and advil can contain gluten too, muchless other toxic substances to our overburdened livers.
Many people who have gluten issues have fibromyalgia – after they stop gluten, their inflammation goes away. You’ll notice multiple of my symptoms involved cycles – regulated by hormones that needed to get through my liver, but couldn’t.
I also did a colon, kidney and liver cleanse after I learned about this. These definitely made a world of difference.
I wish you the best of luck, and hope my story helps you in some way. Email me if you want to ask me any questions, or just chat!
Peace,
Carrie Anne
